Riverside Cockroach Exterminator
Most roach jobs fail because the wrong roach got treated. We identify the species first, then price it, then treat it. Licensed Inland Empire roach control since 2012, from two offices in Riverside and Moreno Valley.
Which Roach Do You Have?
The species decides the treatment and the price. One of these needs a clean-out. The other three need a barrier.
What it looks like
Small, about half an inch, light tan, with two dark stripes running lengthwise behind the head. Kitchens, bathrooms, behind appliances. Out at night, or during the day once their hiding spots are full.
What it means
This one breeds indoors and only indoors. It needs the clean-out, not a perimeter spray.
What it looks like
About one inch. Males are amber with long full wings. Females are dark brown to black with cream markings and short wing pads. Garages, meter boxes, patios, bathrooms on hot nights.
What it looks like
The big one, 1.5 inches or more, reddish brown with a pale band behind the head. Drains, garages, sewer lines, under the water heater. Often called a water bug or palmetto bug.
What it means
Outdoor species that wanders in. Covered under the general pest plan.
What it looks like
About one inch, glossy black, stout, slow moving. Damp spots, crawl spaces, floor drains. Also called a water bug. Being displaced by the Turkestan across Riverside.
What it means
Outdoor species. Covered under the general pest plan.
How Much Does Cockroach Extermination Cost in Riverside?

German Cockroach Treatment in Riverside
Killing the one you see does nothing to the colony. Here is why, and what does.
roaches per egg case
egg to breeding adult
hidden out of sight at any time
What the clean-out does
- Gel baits rotated on a schedule, so the colony never learns to avoid one
- A growth regulator in every bait. Its active ingredient holds EPA Reduced Risk status for food-handling areas. It stops reproduction
- Heavy infestations get a flush-and-kill first, then the baiting program
- Follow-up at two weeks to re-bait and confirm the count is falling
Prep is required
We walk you through it before we arrive. Disturbed roaches avoid bait, so prep is the difference between one visit and three.
Turkestan Cockroach Treatment in Riverside
How to tell
- Males are amber with long wings. Females are dark and often mistaken for Orientals
- Lives outside: meter boxes, irrigation boxes, block wall cracks, mulch
- Does not breed indoors. Wanders in for water, so you find it in bathrooms and by the water heater
How we handle it
- Perimeter residual built for Inland Empire heat: foundation line, eaves, garage thresholds, entry points
- Exterior bait at the hot spots
- Same program covers American and Oriental roaches
Covered under the general pest plan, from $60 a month
Cockroach Removal Process in Riverside
Inspect
Kitchen, bathrooms, garage, water heater closet, and the exterior. We are looking for hiding spots, droppings, egg cases, and the entry points roaches are actually using, not just where you have seen them.
Identify
Species decides the plan. German goes to the clean-out. Turkestan, American, and Oriental go to the perimeter program. If it is German, we go over prep before anything gets applied.
Treat
EPA-registered products applied per label by state-licensed technicians. You get the product names and the re-entry times for kids and pets before we leave.
Follow up
Two weeks out for German clean-outs. Scheduled visits for the plan, with free spot treatments in between if anything shows up.
Commercial Cockroach Exterminator in Riverside
German cockroaches travel through shared walls and plumbing chases, so treating one apartment while the neighbors spray from the hardware store keeps the whole building infested. We treat multifamily the way it has to be done, adjoining units together, on the same schedule.
Restaurant kitchens get triaged first. Heavy infestations get a flush-and-kill cleanout before any bait goes down, because disturbed roaches avoid bait. Then a rotation program on a set interval. The insecticide we run is labeled for food-handling facilities, so we can treat a working kitchen without shutting your line down for longer than the posted re-entry time.

Cockroach Questions From Riverside Homeowners
How much does it cost to get rid of cockroaches in Riverside?
It depends on the species. Turkestan, American, and Oriental roaches are covered under general pest service starting at $60 a month for homes up to 2,000 square feet. German cockroaches need a dedicated clean-out at $595, which includes the follow-up visit and a 60-day warranty. Pricing is effective 2026 and confirmed at inspection.
Is it worth calling an exterminator for roaches?
For outdoor species, a perimeter program handles them and keeps them out. For German cockroaches, yes, and sooner is cheaper. Store-bought sprays kill the roaches you see and scatter the ones you do not. A colony that could be cleaned out in one visit with a follow-up becomes a three-visit job after a month of foggers and bait traps.
What month are roaches the worst in Riverside?
Outdoor roaches peak in the summer heat, usually July through September, when Turkestans and Americans come inside at night looking for water. German cockroaches do not have a season. They live indoors and breed year-round, so a German problem in February is the same problem in August, just bigger.
Is it normal to have cockroaches in your house in California?
Seeing an occasional Turkestan or American roach in the garage or bathroom is normal in the Inland Empire. They live outdoors and wander in. Seeing small tan roaches in the kitchen at night, or during the day, is not normal. That is a German cockroach population, and it is growing.
How many roaches a week is an infestation?
One German cockroach is an infestation, because they do not travel alone. If you see them during the day, their hiding spots are full and they are being pushed out into the open. For outdoor species, a few a week in summer is nuisance activity. A few a night is a gap in the perimeter that needs to be found.
Does seeing one German cockroach mean I have an infestation?
Almost always. German cockroaches live in groups, and the one you saw is one of the roughly 8 percent that are out of hiding at any given moment. A single egg case holds 30 to 40 roaches, and they reach breeding age in under two months. The count you see is not the count you have.
Why do I suddenly have German cockroaches?
They arrived in something. Cardboard boxes, a used appliance, grocery bags, luggage, or a neighbor’s unit through a shared wall. German cockroaches cannot survive outdoors in Riverside, so they do not wander in from the yard the way Turkestans do. Once inside, a few weeks of warmth, water, and crumbs is all they need.
Do roaches ever fully go away?
German cockroaches do, with a clean-out that targets the colony instead of the individuals, prep on your end, and a follow-up to confirm the count is falling. Outdoor roaches do not go away as a species, because they live in the neighborhood, not your house. What goes away is their access, and that is what the perimeter program maintains.
